M.A.C.
M.A.C. – makeup art cosmetics – founded by Frank
Toskan and the late Frank Angelo in Toronto in 1985 – was
developed originally for professional makeup artists. The colours
and textures they created and the unique M.A.C. attitude to
beauty caused a sensation; soon fashion models, photographers,
actors and performers were using M.A.C. and it wasn’t
long before the public wanted what the professionals had.
Over the past 15 years, M.A.C. has had a huge influence on
the cosmetics industry; it is the designer’s choice at
the world’s greatest fashion shows – New York,
Milan, Paris and London.
From the first days of M.A.C. a sense of responsibility to
the community through AIDS-related fundraising programmes,
environmental initiatives and cruelty-free manufacturing policies
was established.
M.A.C. Chancery is New Zealand’s only stand-alone M.A.C.
store, designed exclusively by the M.A.C. store design team
in New York.
